The Mediterranean Model Forest Network at GLF - Forest 2025 |
|
On April 24th, the Mediterranean Model Forest Network (MMFN) will participate in GLF - Forest 2025, a two-day hybrid event taking place in Bonn and online. Toni Ventre, Secretary of the MMFN, will contribute to the session titled “IMFN: Action Beyond Words - Forest Partnerships for Landscape Sustainability”, together with representatives from the International Model Forest Network (IMFN).
The session will explore how forests, as key nature-based solutions, can be sustainably managed through a combination of scientific and traditional knowledge. It will highlight Model Forests as examples of participatory forest management, showcasing practical solutions and strategies that can be adapted and scaled globally. The focus will be on collaborative approaches to restoration, governance, and links to climate and biodiversity policies.
By registering online for GLF - Forest 2025, it is possible to follow the event in English, Spanish, French, or Portuguese. Visit the event website to explore the two-day agenda and join the conversation. |
