Forests Without Borders: Latin America & the Mediterranean in Dialogue

 ‍

We are pleased to announce the upcoming webinar “Forests Without Borders: Latin America & the Mediterranean in Dialogue” that brings together two dynamic regional networks to share, connect, and collaborate around sustainable forest landscape management.

This webinar will provide a space for Model Forests from Latin America and the Mediterranean to introduce their networks, governance structures, and core activities. Through a series of presentations, participants will explore diverse examples of forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community engagement.

Beyond showcasing successful initiatives, the webinar will offer a platform to discuss shared challenges and identify opportunities for future collaboration between the two regions. It aims to strengthen connections, exchange knowledge, and foster dialogue between stakeholders, experts, and local leaders involved in Model Forests.

Provence Model Forest changes leadership!

 ‍

After nine years as president Philippe Duparchy steps down from Provence Model Forest, with Jean-Laurent Félizia succeeds him, bringing experience as a long-time supporter, mycologist, and Mediterranean biome specialist.

Jean-Laurent Félizia is no stranger to Provence Model Forest. He quickly became a sponsor of the association through his company Mouvements et Paysages, frequently lectured at events, participated in the Art and Design Competition (and won in the Sculpture category), and served on its Development and Administrative Council (representing the Découverte Sainte-Baume association). As Jean-Laurent affirms: “Forêt Modèle de Provence is a human story that connects us”.
