‍Istria Model Forest celebrates 10th anniversary

‍

‍The Istria Model Forest is celebrating its long journey from establishment 2014 until nowadays - when it has achieved own recognition trough several regional programs. Celebration was organized with the group of members and the closest collaborators, on 3rd May in Restaurant Zigante placed in Livade the richest area with truffles in Istria. Off course on the menu were truffles and a cake with forest fruits whose 10 candles were giving a great touch to the already warm atmosphere.

‍A new start for the Palencia Model Forest

‍

‍The headquarters of the Provincial Council of Palencia was the venue for the presentation to the city of the start of the Palencia Model Forest project, a project promoted by five national entities under the coordination of the Provincial Council of Palencia, whose objective is to relaunch the already established Palencia Model Forest platform to reactivate economic and social revitalisation initiatives based on the use and optimisation of the forest resources of the demarcated area. The project is financed by the Biodiversity Foundation, which depends on the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Democratic Challenge.

Mediterranean Model Forests gathered at INNOVAForONE in Vallodolid

On April 18-19 the MMFN Secretariat, together with some of the Model Forest of the Network, participated at INNOVAForONE, the Final Event of the ONEforest project, organized by Cesefor Fundación in Valladolid. The team from Cesefor managed to organize an event that went far beyond the expectation, gathering forestry networks and European projects to discuss a key topic in our sector: innovation.

Award Ceremony for the "Young reporters from the Ifrane Model Forest" competition

‍

On Thursday 25 May, the Ifrane conference center was the venue for the ceremony to award trophies to the winners of the "Young Reporters of the Model Forest" competition, in its 2nd edition, 2024, for the benefit of students in secondary schools and colleges in the Province of Ifrane. Six schools representing the localities of Azrou, Timahdite and Ait Yahia ou Alla took part in this competition, which was won by students from the Timahdite High School in the local authority of the same name: Timahdite, both for the best photo and for the best video dealing with the issue proposed by the competition organisers.
