Good news: Forest Ed project has been funded!

“Forest Ed” was born for a simple reason: all official reports, including the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), confirm that climate change is the major challenge of the 21st century for humanity. To address it, a change in the development model is therefore necessary at all levels and in all sectors: environmental, social and economic.

The Project aims to train leaders in the field of education who are able to transmit good management practices to citizens and to promote environmental transition solutions suitable for Mediterranean forest areas.

SAVE THE DATE - The 25th session of COFO and the 7th World Forest Week

The Committee on Forestry will be convened virtually from 5 to 9 October 2020. The Committee on Forestry (COFO) is the highest FAO Forestry statutory body. The biennial sessions of COFO bring together heads of forest services and other senior government officials to identify emerging policy and technical issues, to seek solutions and to advise FAO and others on appropriate action.
The 25th session of COFO and the 7th World Forest Week will explore the contributions that the forest sector can make to the SDG Decade of Action as well as to recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, including on solutions for climate change, biodiversity and people.
