Global initiative - Survey on Silviculture and ES provision
A team of universities (from the USA and Germany), led by Oregon State University (USA), is investigating the global information base for forest management, specifically silviculture, in the context of global change. The aim of this initiative is to obtain an overview of the status and future relevance of current knowledge on silviculture and ecosystem services provision through the global perspectives of forestry professionals. This information will be used to identify knowledge gaps, suggest topics and regions to prioritize in research and education, encourage information sharing and promote a more global discussion on forestry and forest adaptation in the context of global change.
