FSC Collaborates with Amazon on Climate Pledge Friendly Program

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is participating in Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program, which makes it easier for customers to discover and shop for more sustainable products. When searching for products, customers will now see the Climate Pledge Friendly label signifying products that have one or more of 19 different sustainability certifications that help preserve the natural world.

#Together4Forests Movement

 ‍

FSC has joined 100+ NGOs supporting the #Together4Forests movement urging citizens to take part in a European Commission public consultation on deforestation to push for a strong EU law to keep products linked to deforestation, forest fires, nature destruction and human rights violations off the European market.

FAO's role in seeds

 ‍

Seeds are the primary basis for human sustenance. They are the repository of the genetic potential of crop species and their varieties resulting from the continuous improvement and selection over time. Food security therefore is dependent on the seed security of farming communities.
FAO plays a lead role in strengthening the conservation and sustainable use of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture through policy assistance, technical support and awareness raising.
