The Silva Mediterranea WG on UPF - Work Plan 2023

 ‍

The Silva Mediterranea Working Group on Urban and Peri-urban Forestry was established in 2012 with the mandate to develop a UPF networking strategy for the Mediterranean countries and to act as a neutral forum where nations can meet and develop agreements, as well as debate policy aspects on the UPF issues. During the last two years, the WG has experienced some difficulties in fulfilling the objectives that had been set. As a result, the Secretariat is proposing to revise the current work plan with the aim of focusing the work on activities that are more relevant for the members of the WG. To do so, a questionnaire broadly addressed to stakeholders in order to collect inputs has been published, based on the inputs received, the Secretariat will compile the list of activities planned for 2023-2024 and will share it with all the members of the WG to explore their interest to contribute. Those activities for which there is no longer an interest will be removed from the work plan.
