In March 2020, the educators and forest pedagogues of the River Mirna Basin Model Forest continued to carry out the "Forest Stories" seminars in the urban forest of Sijana, near Pula (Croatia).
"Forest Stories" is a project that has been under implementation since 2018 and has so far been recognized and well attended. The participants in the project are children aged 5 to 12, whose parents spend the weekends in Sijana Foresta. The workshops called "Moving Forest", "Creative Forest", "Forest Games" and "Fruit Forest" are combining forest pedagogy with movement, sound therapy and land art.
The seminars, which take place in the autumn and spring, have so far reached over 200 children.
