The MMFN and ERIAFF explore new opportunities for collaboration in the field of bioeconomy

ERIAFF is the European Regions for Innovation in Agriculture, Food and Forestry Network. It represents the interests of European regions which have defined agriculture, forestry and food industries as key priorities. The network is coordinated by the Brussels offices of the regions and is led by the regional office of Tuscany.

The ERIAFF Forested Regions sub-group represents the interests of EU regions which are contributing to the development and full deployment of forest-based bio economies. This section is jointly coordinated by Castilla y Leon and East and North Finland EU Office. It aims at exchanging information and sharing best practices on how to develop and implement successful regional bio economy strategies. The participating regions are identifying successful policies and policy measures, as well as existing barriers in the field of forest-based bio economy. They assess continuously the impacts of EU policies and legislation have in their regions and provide recommendations and analyses for policy makers.

The last ERIAFF Conference (the 4th Forest Innovation Workshop) has been organized in Florence last 15-16 January 2020, in collaboration with the MMFN Secretariat (and hosts the H2020 Rosewood Final Conference as well). The reports and presentations of ERIAF Conference are now available for download at www.foreste.info
