Western Macedonia Model Forest at the Artificial Intelligence, Environment, and Natural Disasters conference in Kozani

The Western Macedonia Model Forest participated in a conference held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Eratyra, Kozani, with the theme "Artificial Intelligence, Environment, and Natural Disasters". The seminar served as an important initiative for dialogue and collaboration between the scientific community, local authorities, and environmental management bodies, focusing on the modern technological capabilities for the prevention and management of environmental risks.
During the seminar, the President of the Western Macedonia Model Forest, Dimitris Tsimplinas, delivered a speech titled "Artificial Intelligence, Wildfires & Human Behavior". The participation of the Western Macedonia Model Forest focused on presenting best practices and innovative methods that promote the sustainable management of forest ecosystems and strengthen the resilience of local communities against wildfires. Special emphasis was placed on the need to combine traditional knowledge with modern digital tools and artificial intelligence applications to create reliable prediction and early warning models.
