Last week we were in Tartu, Estonia, for the last General Assembly (GA) of the ONEForest project. The project is funded within the H2020 program of the European Commission and involves the Secretariat together with three Model Forest of the Network: Montagne Fiorentine, Provence and Istria.

Last week in Carnoules, France, took place the Annual Meeting of the Forêt Modèle de Provence. It was a special one because it celebrated 10 years as a Model Forest in the Mediterranean Network!

On June 19 and 20 in Naples took place the kick of meeting (KOM) of a new H2020 project that involved the Secretariat and some of the Model Forest of the Mediterranean Network.

Is kick off meeting time for the Model Forests of the Network. On June 7 and 8 the Montagne Fiorentine Model Forest flew to Solsona (Spain) to join the starting event of the SINTETIC project funded by the EU within the H2020 programme.

On May 17th our Secretariat took part in a panel organized by the Canadian government and the International Model Forest Network, within the 8th International Wildland Fire Conference, in Portugal.

From May 15th to 19th 2023 in Portugal will take place the 8th International Wildland Fire Conference. These conferences are aimed at promoting exchange of expertise and international cooperation in wildland fire management gathering thousands of participants around the world and overseen by The International Liaison Committee (ILC), serving as an advisory and liaison body to the hosts of the conferences.

This year the Forêt Modèle de Provence celebrated 10 years as a Model Forest in the Mediterranean Network. It will be an year full of events and the first one starts in few days with the festival “Arbres en Fête”.

The results of an Erasmus+ project that involve two of the Model Forests of our Network At the end of 2022 Istria Model Forest has finalized the Erasmus+ project "Education and cooperation key to sustainable development".

How many times have we tried to explain what it means to be part of the Model Forest Network? From time to time we realized that it is a concept not easy to understand for those who are not directly involved.
